Evenings - North Dorm EP

Everyone that I let listen to this absolutely loves it. Sunset music like the name suggests. It's experimental chillwave electronic, and it's great. Free, too, legally. Just give it a listen, and maybe even a download.

Baths - Cerulean

Dear lord, how can you make random mumblings of song seem so wonderful? This for grownup children. Cute and serious at the same time. A guy "singing" to a hip-hop beat, with electronic and rock influences. My two favorites from the album are Lovely Bloodflow and Aminals. The first one is some serious stuff, and the second is just cute.

Fuck Buttons - Tarot Sport

The main instrument of the whole album is white noise. Stay up all night, become sleep deprived, then listen to this. Just lose yourself in it. Really. It's warm and soft, with hints of menthol touch. Kind of repetative too, so it'll get your dreams/hallucinations going.

Future Islands - In Evening Air

Drums, guitars, synth, and an awesome voice. Synth work is pretty intense, too, but not over the top. Pretty original sounding music. Mostly upbeat, lovely. Look to the stars at this one and smile, folks. Picked myself up a record of this, turns out its printed on clear orange vinyl. Awesome.

Harvey Danger - Little by Little

Oh Harvey Danger, if that is your real name. You remind me of a mumbling beatles, and panic at the disco. Pop Rock. Kind of reminds me of beach rock too. Everything's kind of immature and fun.

Lazy Mary - Crazy Hairy

Good guitar and good drums, the usual. But that's not what sets these guys apart. Lazy Mary features the vocals of a girl, a girl wailing her self out on a microphone. That's what steals this record away. Every time she stops you wait to hear her voice again, and even though you kind of realize it doesn't exactly sound the best, you realize you still want it.

Crookram - Through Windows

Gets stuck in your head easily, even though most of the tracks don't have lyrics, so you know it's good. It's a mix-up album, featuring movie clips, adding a twist. I like to think of it as a collage of music. Hip-hop, soul, funk, electronic, and just good music come together.

Yowie - Cryptooology

Sounds random, but it isn't. I like imagining these guys playing stuff for me. Sometimes helps me cope through random stuff. Listen to it loud, and try to concentrate. Math rock, kind of difficult to enjoy if you're trying to look for a pattern, but that could also be the point.

Major Lazer - Guns Don't Kill People... Lazers Kill People

A mix of reggae, pop, and hip-hop. Very interesting beats. Kind of reminds me of a less annoying M.I.A., with more humor. Deserves a good listen now and then, but I wouldn't listen to it too often.

J.I.C.

If you stumble upon this blog, I don't know how, but know that it's just basically for me. Make a kind of library of the music I like. I found these artists all over the web, concerts around here, friends, radio, commercials, whatever. If I've only listened to one song by the artist, I will point that out. But who am I talking to here, right?
