One of the first indie artists, I feel. From the 1970's, this guy still has a whole bunch of modern sounding tracks. Kind of ahead of his time, really.

The Hunter - Mastodon
Mastodon is one of my favorite rock artists. Dealing in heavy metal, their music is reminiscent of Uriah Heap. A kind of poetic/prose accompanied by manliness. A bit more stripped down and riff-oriented than their previous albums.
Erik Satie: Piano Works - Erik Satie
Erik Satie is a personal favorite of mine. His songs, I feel, are a bit like impressionistic paintings, but in music form. The emotion is definitely the main focus of each song. The unusual timing of each peace is also interesting. It is also difficult what is going to happen next, yet it all sounds very natural.

Deep Forest - Deep Forest
Electronic world music. Lot's of nice influence coming together as one. It's a very natural techno. Fun to listen to at night.

Yellow Ostrich - The Mistress
I've been following this band for a while now. I bought the vinyl record for him. It has a real nice, guy in a bedroom making music because he loves it, and he's pretty good at it, even if he is unorthodox feel to it. My favorite song by far is "Whale", but everything else makes me smile as well.

Suenos - The Missing Parts
What genre is this? Acoustic hardcore folk/classical bluegrass? I don't know. It sounds classic and gothic at the same time. I'm not sure how to interpret it, but it sure as hell does sound good. I can't imagine the production that must have gone into making this album.
PROFESSOR CALCULUS - CHARE
Some really nice instrumental punk. It has some grungy guitar that I just can't get enough of for some reason.

Amanda Palmer - Amanda Palmer Goes Down Under
Kind of stumbled on this accidentally. I first heard "Map of Tasmania" a few weeks before I actually checked out the whole album. I hated that song. But the rest of the album, I really like. It's all Amanda, live, singing to the piano or uke. Funny, and good sounding. Man, can she sing. My favorites are "Makin' Whoopie", "Vegemite", "Bad Wine and Lemon Cake", and "Formidable Marinade".

LIONWAX - LIONWAX Pt. II
Some nice, jammin' instrumentals. LIONWAX is "a project gathering mostly
instrumental music based on visuals, ideas & concepts, thus destined
for film purposes or other audiovisual media." Part I and Part II to be had here: http://monowolf.bandcamp.com/
Shakey Graves - Roll the Bones
Some nice, good modern folk music. It's pretty catchy too. Sounds kind of like a mix between Fleet Foxes, Light Skits, and Crookram.
It's happy season. Get a-listenin'.

Earl - Earl
The most grotesque, blatant, disgusting rap you'll ever hear. Told by teenagers. Hey, you got bitches and hoes? Shot a man once? Yeah, well Earl will show you how it's really done. Let's go rape some chicks, kill some girl's father, chop up people with an axe. All at the age of 16? You're on your way to Hollywood.

Fujiya & Miyagi - Transparent Things
Remember those days, when you could turn on the radio, and the funkiest beat that everyone was listening to would pour out of the speakers into your lap, asking you for a dance? Yeah, me neither. We may be a little closer now, though. Fujiya & Miyagi, is a Non-Japanese band of four that's really interested in some funky rock and lyrics. Get your groove on.
Roma/Julllo Split 7"
Real nice music. Not sure how you can get your hands on it, as it's sold out, but you can listen to it here: http://romajulllo.bandcamp.com/

Cap'n Jazz - Analphabetapolothology
I have been really liking this album lately. Really messy, intricate, loud, and fun. Math rock? Maybe. Tastes delicious, though.

Bad Speler - Big Smaller Presents Good Speaker 1
Good, lengthy, and funny titles. What more could you ask for? I always love listening to Bad Speler, no matter how I feel. Make sure you have time when you sit down and listen though, the songs range up to the 17 minute range. To be had for free.

AFinalDate- Sandcastles, Penguins and Childhood Memories
Glitchy, fun, playground electronic music. AFinalDate is a group or person who has been spitting out music for the past few years at a rapid fire rate. Really fun to listen to, organic almost. He has a whole bunch of free albums I wasn't aware of until now, so I am going to check those out.

Ablehearts - The Flood
I used to play this album over and over again, always finding something new to like. Most of the songs have really nice vocals, all autotuned to sound personal, and that's what this album is. Personal, something you should listen to when you're alone.
Fembots - Primetime EP
Rock? Funk? Rap? Jazz? I don't know, but it sounds good to me. Straight out of Illinois, these guys (all 9) are rocking everything out. Nice guitar, and alright lyrics. Maybe a little generic sounding, but I like them.

Light Skits - Nooks and Crannies
Good math rock, with vocals. Think Cap'n Jazz. Real good listen with some nice headphones on, with all of the intricacies and such. Ice-9 is my favorite song by them at the moment. Have a listen here:

Martyn - Great Lengths
Nice DnB here, good electro songs. Picked it up on iTunes one day on a hunch, chose right. Haven't been listening to it lately, but I'm gonna give it another good listen soon.
